A Deal Too Good To Leaf Behind

Cass County Soil Conservation District Tree Store is now open

The cost of incorporating trees into your landscape, whether for aesthetic or habitat purposes, is often enough to ruffle some feathers. Purchasing your woody vegetation through the Cass County Soil Conservation District, however, yields great savings! The Cass County Soil Conservation District Tree Store offers over 50 species of hand-plantable bare root trees and shrubs starting at $1.50 each. While the tree store is open through April 1st, early ordering is suggested due to supply limitations.

Frozen from our frigid winter temperatures, thoughts of next year’s tree planting plans seem to hibernate far in the back of our minds. Contrarily, though, this is the perfect time to plan your spring/summer landscaping and windbreak projects. Drought conditions over the last year proved challenging for many species – rendering some species completely unavailable. Ordering early gives you the best chance of securing your preferred trees.

As a legal subdivision of the State of North Dakota, Cass County Soil Conservation District is able to provide unparalleled knowledge and rates for all your tree needs. District employees are available for recommendations based on your soil type as well as aesthetic and conservation goals. Visit Casscountyscd.org for additional information, order forms, and to shop the online tree store.
