Spring Creek Prairie raises more than $36,000 on tenth annual Give to Lincoln Day

In honor of their 25th anniversary this year, the Center had set a fundraising goal of $25,000

(DENTON, NEBRASKA – May 25, 2023) Yesterday, Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center (SCPAC) received $36,296 in donations as part of the tenth annual Give to Lincoln Day, $11,000 more than their original goal. 

As we celebrate 25 years, we are so thankful for the continued support of this community. We are proud to be part of the Lincoln area and humbled by their generosity.” said Meghan Sittler, SCPAC Center Director.  

Give to Lincoln Day, organized by the Lincoln Community Foundation, supports more than 500 local nonprofit organizations. This year, Give to Lincoln Day took place from May 1-May 24. In that time, participating organizations received 24,115 donations for a total of more than $7.4 million. LCF and sponsors, including Presenting Sponsor West Gate Bank, provided a $500,000 match fund. 

The ninth annual Give to Lincoln Day was held on May 26, 2022. More than $8 million dollars was raised to help our local nonprofit community. Thousands of individuals made donations to 479 local nonprofit organizations.
