Thanks to the support of generous bird and nature lovers like you, last year we were able to raise over $17,000. This year, we have even more plans to help birds and the places they need.
Giving Hearts Day is one of the biggest 24-hour giving events across North Dakota, and we’re aiming to exceed last year by raising - $20,000. Can we count on you to help us reach our 2022 Giving Hearts Day goal?
Donations not only help protect our feathered friends but also help us continue to grow our educational outreach programs. These nature-based educational programs inspire students and community members to learn about birds of the Dakotas and their habitats, like grasslands, wetlands, and woodlands, that these birds need and how to take action to protect them. Birds tell us it’s time to take action! Join our flock this Giving Hearts Day, $25 purchases supplies for volunteer restoration projects, $100 funds an educational outreach program for local students, and $250 restores 1 acre of native bird and pollinator habitat.
How else can you participate? Volunteer with us! Donate your time and passion for birds and conservation. In addition to our fundraising goal, we are also seeking volunteers to assist us with a handful of upcoming volunteer opportunities. Whether you wish to volunteer individually, as a family, or if you would like to team build with your co-workers for a corporate service event, you’ll help us help birds by improving habitat across the Dakotas. Don’t worry if you can’t make it to one of our Giving Hearts Day volunteer events, with over 1,000 acres enrolled in our Urban Woods and Prairies Initiative there is no shortage of restoration projects. Your group could plant a pollinator garden, collect native prairie seed, participate in a community science project, and so much more!
